Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Material Scientist or Materials Engineer to contribute to the material manufacturing process and support the development of a full-scale industrial manufacturing line.

Your primary focus will be on the silicon melting and casting process. You will be responsible for materials characterization, process development, and working closely with the casting team to test and implement process improvements. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in defining the melting and casting process, as well as ensuring the successful implementation of improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct materials characterization and gain a deep understanding of the melting and casting process.
  • Take ownership of the analysis program for qualifying cast material.
  • Design and execute experiments, both on- and off-line, to test, demonstrate, and implement process improvements.
  • Report results and contribute to the definition of process specifications for the next generation of industrial casting line based on findings.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Material Science and/or Engineering (University) or equivalent.
  • Over 3 years of work experience in a high-tech, high-temperature industry or research environment, such as metallurgy or ceramics processing.
  • Technical and project management experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (proficiency in English documentation).
  • Experience in silicon melting is preferred.
