About the Role

The Regional Visual Manager is responsible for driving visual standards in China, developing and implementing the store experience strategy for their assigned region/sub region across all store formats. In collaboration with the regional cross-functional team, this role is responsible for the creation and cascade of locally specific visual guidance, protecting the brand aesthetic whilst driving local commercial objectives to support the franchisee meet or exceed financial targets across a rapidly expanding portfolio of stores. The role will be required to work across all the Gap Inc Brands, creating and deploying training materials which empower the franchisee to develop brand expertise. This role may not have direct reports but is responsible for coaching and building extraordinary talent of the visual population in line with development plans. This role calls for an agile and organized candidate, who is able to prioritise multiple competing demands, working with pace and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Develops and deploys the functional regional strategy within own area, including the creation and cascade of local visual guidance, review and validation of windows, instore signage and floor plans.
  • Knows and understands key KPI goals, how key markets are performing to to targets, with ablity to put plans in place to achieve results in areas of influence
  • Maintains awareness of competition and reacts appropriately through visual solutions & focuses on supporting partners to improve KPI’s through effective product presentation and store merchandising.
  • Delivers functional service level and project work, in line with business and partner priorities, with ability to prioritse high value work
  • Ability to collaborate and influence key internal and external business partners to ensure store fleet is excuted and maintained to brand standards, while driving business goals
  • Uses appropriate tools and resources to validate, develop and launch new store points of distribution which meet capcity and tiering targets in partnership with Store Design.
  • Coaches franchisee team on Gap ways of working, tools and processes, building mutually beneficial relationships to drive brand equity in China

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of International Franchise or Wholesale Visual Merchandising experience
  • Strength in coaching, influencing and relationship building skills across internal and external teams
  • Excellent organisation and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Excellent at multi-tasking, effective time management skills + ability to manage / prioritise workload
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • InDesign and Photoshop advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret KPI data to drive a visual solution
  • English as working language.
  • Must be able to & willing to travel domestically and internationally
